Mark commenced his career in Amsterdam, Holland in 1980 as a trainee commodity trader with a large trading house. He has worked in 7 countries – born and raised in Australia – Mark speaks English, Dutch and German.
Over the years he has traded physical commodities ranging from wheat and wheat flour, to pulses, sugar, milk powder, soya and soy products to amaranth and quinoa. All outsourcing of marketing and sales functions is done on a profit sharing basis. The business model we currently employ does not support a typical salaried corporate structure … but rather a rewards structure based on a fair and equitable split of profit margins.

The surface of the vineyard is of an ideal size to control the quality of the vines in accordance with organic agriculture certified ECOCERT. After 3 years of conversion, Château Grand Français received its Organic Agriculture accreditation in 2002.
?No weedkiller or chemical treatments are ever used, only products permitted for organic certification are allowed.

As early as 1906, Château Grand Français was singled out for the excellent health condition of its vineyards and received the Medal of Agricultural Merit.

Description : The Little Milk Company is a co-operative of Organic Dairy Farmers who are spread throughout the Irish provinces of Munster and Leinster. All of our farms are family owned and run using organic farming methods. Our herds include a mix of Jersey and Montbeliarde cows, which are renowned for producing the highest quality of milk.
We milk mostly Dairy Shorthorn cows, with some Kerry and Droimeann cattle also. I find these old breed more suitable to Organic farming methods as my system is to milk off grass for as long as possible and these breeds are very suitable.The cows milk mainly from grass, and because our land is on limestone rock it is very dry and I aim to let them out on grass as soon as they calve.
I believe in producing food as naturally as possible without chemical inputs and using the land as sustainably as possible. Seaweed washes up all over the edges of the farm and I gather and mix it with farmyard manure to provide a natural fertilizer.
