Talina : hibiscus, bio et fairtrade
Le jus de bissap, issu de la fleur d’hibiscus, est une boisson rafraîchissante et légèrement acidulée, typique des pays d’Afrique.
Il existe plus de 100 sortes de fleurs d’hibiscus, Talina utilise l’hibiscus Sabdariffa (chabadabada, chabadabada), également surnommée fleur du soleil. Cette plante naturelle et délicieuse est également connue pour ses bienfaits:
Elle améliore la circulation sanguine : régule la pression artérielle, lutte contre l’hypertension et réduit le risque d’accidents cardio-vasculaires et de crises cardiaques.
Elle donne de l'énergie : riche en vitamine C et en oligo-éléments.
Elle favorise la digestion : sa teneur en oligo-éléments aide à la prolifération des bonnes bactéries essentielles pour le système digestif.

Eva et Jules, couple belgo-sénégalais, travaillent dans leur société de restauration-traiteur depuis 2015. Lors des événements, les invités appréciaient la boisson aux fleurs d’hibiscus qu’ils proposaient. Introuvable en Belgique, ils décident tous les deux de créer Talina (mélange de leurs deux filles : Talia et Lina).
Les matières premières sont bio (eau, fleur d’hibiscus séchée bio, sucre de canne bio, arômes 100% naturels), la boisson ne contient pas de conservateurs et est stabilisé par haute pression (HPP) pour préserver aux mieux goût, vitamines et valeurs nutritionnelles.
Talina soutient des coopératives de cultivateurs de fleur d’hibiscus bio au Sénégal, qui grâce à leurs initiatives font travailler plusieurs groupements de femmes. Elles cultivent les fleurs d’hibiscus et vendent leurs récoltes au juste prix via la coopérative.

We are currently in our third year of organic conversion. Next harvest, March 2019, will be fully certified as organic by Control Union.
Buyers can choose between the following products:
- Wine from organic grapes: Bottled wines from organic grapes, cellared traditionally with addition of sulphur and oaked in new and 2nd fill barrique barrels for 18 months. Samples available for testing in South Africa and Europe. Dispatch to other areas can be arranged. Up to 100.000 bottles can be produced p.a.
- Fully organic wine: Wine from organic grapes, produced without any sulphur or other additives, fully natural. We have produced 300 bottles of the 2018 fully organic Merlot as samples for tasting. International dispatch can be arranged at request. We can produce up to 50.000 bottles of this wine by order.
- Organic bulk wine: Up to 100.000 litres
- Organic grapes: Up to 150 tonnes
