BioFach 2009 International Organic Wine Award


BioFach will be 20 and the World Organic Trade Fair invites the industry to its birthday party in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 19-22 February 2009.


347 wine exhibitors from 23 nations presented their top wines from certified organic cultivation to an interested professional audience in 2008. Some 10 % more wine exhibitors are expected in 2009. To enable exhibitors and visitors to drink a toast to the twenty-year-old exhibition with the finest wines, an international jury of approx. 39 well-known tasters tasted the best of the top organic wines from winegrowers around the globe on 22-23 November 2008.


521 wines from 13 countries entered this year’s competition. The jury awarded Special Gold to 11 wines, Gold to 60 and Silver to 129. 124 wines received a recommendation.
